Langdale House is a superbly presented detached property of character built in 1935 with many of the original features such as the mosaic tiled floor in the entrance vestibule and stain glass windows throughout. It is south facing with countryside views towards the Pentewan Valley with a nice garden that is available to guests for their relaxation and enjoyment. Langdale House has in the last few months been converted from a family home to a lovely guesthouse and opened in February 2012. The proprietor, Chris Witt, has spent most of his career in international business development travelling to many parts of the world and staying in everything from 3 Star family hotels in the UK to 4, 5 & 6 Star properties in Europe, the Middle East and Asia and so he has some idea of what can be offered in terms of welcome, comfort and style. Ameena has more than 20 years in the hospitality business running pubs, restaurants and a B&B. Ameena is currently the tenant at the Hop & Vine and the Seven Stars pubs in St Austell which are both a short walk away from Langdale House and offer a range of meals and real ales, wines & spirits from St Austell Brewery. Langdale House is an excellent location from which to visit the Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the coastal villages and towns such as Charlestown, Mevagissey and Fowey. All the rooms are ensuite and as we are selling Bed & Breakfast we have invested in "Comfort 1000" Beds and you can be assured of a full traditional Cornish or American breakfast to set you up for the day or you can have something lighter if you prefer!
